This retrospective exhibition of photographs about the Gay community revisits work done by celebrated Los Angeles based photographer Anthony Friedkin. This powerful and important set of vintage photographs, over 35 years old, historically documents what was then the emerging identity of the homosexual community, and the beginnings of the Gay. Inwhen Friedkin was 19, he began to chronicle gay life in Los Angeles and San Francisco, hoping to increase its visibility and gain a better understanding of gay culture there.

Friedkin met Morris Kight and Don Kilhefner, directors of the Gay Community Services Center in Los Angeles, who provided care and welfare to the community while bringing people together to increase dialogue and to collaboratively achieve anthony rights.
