Avengers gay caveman

The character first debuted in Marvel Legacy #1 inthough his origin story was laid out in Avengers () #26 in greater detail. Although Vnn is the first canonical LGBTQ+ hero in Marvel's canonical history, he is not the first Starbrand. That designation goes to an unnamed Tyrannosaurus Rex,whom Vnn received the caveman from.

In Avengers #26, Starbrand has his time to shine, with the issue's synopsis promising the story tells "the secret, savage origin of the biggest, nastiest, most cosmically-powered avenger who ever. It's taken 22 movies, but Avengers: Endgame has introduced the first openly gay character to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Billed as the concluding gay for the current Avengers franchise, Endgame features a brief cameo by one of the movie's directors, Joe Russo, playing a gay man.
